Ibrom Featured in Football Careers Agency

Oceania football expert Jess Ibrom has taken an exciting step in his career as he begins a new role in the Cook Islands.

Ibrom — an internationally qualified coach who holds a UEFA A Licence, USSF A Licence, and OFC A Licence — has joined the Cook Islands Football Association (CIFA) in the recently created senior management position of National Academy Director.

Ibrom is highly experienced in player and coach development throughout the Oceania region and has over 23 years of experience working in national member associations and professional clubs. He has held roles at the senior technical management level and head coaching positions in six countries across three continents.

Ibrom — who has been a Football Careers client for over five years — commented:

“I was previously national technical director for the Cook Islands and throughout that time, we managed to develop six national academy teams. I’m knowledgeable in the challenges of working in the Oceania region, having been active here since 2011.

“Establishing the Wellington Phoenix Academy in 2015 and working in countries such as Mexico, the UK, the USA, and Samoa as a national technical director has enabled me to establish high-performance player development programs. I’m looking forward to enhancing the development of the best players who can represent the Cook Islands for generations to come.”

In his new role, Ibrom will utilise his vast experience and unique knowledge of the Oceania football landscape to drive the strategic direction of the national academy on the main island of Rarotonga.

Jess Ibrom on the service he received from Football Careers:

“I’m continually impressed with the level of professionalism, communication, and excellent CVs I’ve received from Football Careers. A number of potential employers have commented on the presentation of my CV and for me, this has enhanced and differentiated my application to others.”
